Zinc chloride powder is easily soluble in water, the most soluble in solid salts, soluble in methanol, ethanol, glycerin, acetone, ether, insoluble in liquid ammonia. Strong deliquescence, can absorb moisture from the air and deliquescence. Has the property of dissolving metal oxides and cellulose. Molten zinc chloride powder has good electrical conductivity. Thick white smoke is generated when hot. Zinc chloride powder is corrosive and toxic.
Application of anhydrous zinc chloride in petroleum additives
